It Was Fun White it Lasted. Farewell and Happy Holidays #mppr850 <3 Spaghetti Kisses and Cantaloupe Boats

14 Dec

Hi all!

After a semester of blogging, I would have to say my favorite part of the whole process is the satisfaction and liberating feeling of just getting your voice out.  In such a crowded world, sometimes it is hard to be heard with so many distractions.  Personally, I feel it is very liberating and empowering to have the authority to write exactly what you want to say and put it out for others to see!  Secondly, I really enjoyed  tagging each other in our blogs and looking to one another for how we can further share our content.  Finally, learning about how to upload all the different media forms has really made it easier to add some exciting spark and personality to my blog.

On the other hand, I would have to describe my biggest challenge was coming up with fresh ideas and content every week that was consistent with my theme.  Sometimes it was hard to think of a new topic that was still fun and exciting.  With topics that I was really passionate about, writing a new post was so thrilling!  But on those weeks where coming up with a jazzy idea was difficult, honestly, it was difficult to get to that 300 word mark…

As we close this semester, I have come to wonder whether or not I will continue in this world of blogging.  Honestly, if Spaghetti Kisses and Cantaloupe Boats still continues to flourish, I am sorry to say but it will no longer be about the holidays or celebrations of the past. I think I hit this topic pretty thoroughly…  But some time in the near future, I will continue with my posts. But if I do…it will be a new surprise topic!  So keep your eye out for me!

I wish you all a very merry rest of your holiday season!  It was so fun to be in this class and to read all of your blogs!  Happy 2012 #mppr850!

Now that you’ve got that tree up and have taken this year’s holiday photo, don’t forget to add those last minute decorations!  Home Seasons has some very unique and crafty decorations of their own!  Even the company blog is a great outlet with some really creative decorating and festive recipe ideas.

One of its recent posts shares some of the cutest holiday cupcake ideas!  Uh oh!  Do I see Santa Clause upside down?  Sorry Santa, I just might have to eat you!  Mmm you are looking yummy and absolutely adorable!

If the upside down Santa Clause does not appeal to you, don’t freak out yet!  The site also offers some wonderful holiday gift giving ideas.  Make some of these candles with cinnamon sticks as little Christmas presents and you won’t be on anyone’s naughty list this year!  That’s for sure!

Home Seasons is definitely a leader in corporate blogs pertaining to the celebration of seasons.  With a whopping 20,201 likes on its Facebook page, it just might be the latest holiday craze!  And that’s not all–Home Seasons proves to be a credible outlet on Technorati.  The company has the highest authority under the “home” category with a rating of 109 and a ranking of 370.  In addition, it has an overall authority of 104 and a ranking of 31,647.

Homes Seasons stays out of the guessing game when it comes to identifying who is producing content.  It is so transparent that the blog even  features a section that boasts information about the designer.  Meet Rebecca for yourself, the creator of the blog!

So if your trying to figure out how to quickly shop for some last minute decorations, Home Seasons just might be your spot!  Even though it is a corporate blog, it has much more to offer than simply selling.  With recipe ideas and cute DIY decorations, it truly engages the all those holiday lovers and season celebrators out there just like you and I!  I think it’s a great space…definitely worth a visit!
